infoThe Minimum Fundraisisng Target is €500 which includes the cost of your YSPI Skydive Experience.

Once you reach this minimum fundraising target you will need to return any money you’ve raised offline to Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland. Most skydivers raise most of their money online so you should add this into your total.

You can, of course, raise more funds than the minimum amount required.  You can also, if you wish, donate all of the funds raised to Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland and pay for the skydive yourself.

When we receive the funds we will send you an acknowledgement and a Donation Receipt from Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland. 

infoAnyone over 18 can register for the Skydive Experience.  If you are aged between 16 and 18 you can still register if you have the consent of a parent or guardian to take part. Your parent or guardian will need to complete a consent form before you can book your Skydive Experience.

Our Skydive Challenge is a Tandem Freefall Skydive from 3000 metres (10,000ft). The Tandem Freefall jump is basically turn up and jump and only requires a minimum amount of safety training on the day. 

infoWe supply you with an authorisation letter that is valid for 12 months but you can ask us to extend the authorisation period if required.  How long you take to raise the funds or when you book you skydive experience are totally up to yourself.  Most participants take around three months to fundraise but some take less or more than that.  You're in control and you can organise any fundraising to suit your circumstances. 

Please note though that the weather is a big factor in the skydive experience and the later in the year it gets then the more likely that the number of skydive days available will be reduced.

info100% of funds raised by your skydive will go directly towards our youth suicide prevention campaigns and projects.

As of October 2015 our administrative overhead is around 9%.  This means that for every €1 we receive 91c goes towards our charitable objectives and just 9c goes to the administration of the charity.

The charity has no salaried staff and all our charity services and administration are provided by volunteers.  All our Trustees are volunteers and receive no remuneration for their duties.

infoAfter you have completed the signup process on this website we will email your Registration Pack to you within 60 minutes.  Your Registration Pack includes your Authorisation Certificate, sponsorship sheet and welcome information.

As long as you are reasonably fit and active and weight less than 100Kg (16 Stone/220lbs) you should be able to take part in a tandem skydives. 

If you suffer from a heart condition, epilepsy ,obesity then you would need to consult with a doctor before considering Skydiving . Most wheelchair users should have no problem completing a tandem skydive.

If you are over 50 years old, you will need a certificate or letter from your doctor stating your eligibility to jump. 

 

infoUse your web page, send the link to your family, friends, co-workers, parishioners, team mates, etc. and collect donations via credit cards online. It’s easy and simple, and eliminates spending a lot of time sending letters, calling people, and organising big events.

  • Ask for money. Write a letter explaining your cause, why you are involved, who is to benefit, etc. It’s a good idea to request a specific amount or set different levels. (€20 = Silver, €100 = Gold, €500 = Platinum, etc.) Send your letter to everyone, friends, family, co-workers, neighbours, dentist, teacher, and anyone else you interact with.
  • Sell stuff. Not for everyone, but a lot of money can be raised by having a car boot or jumble sale.
  • Fundraise online. Use the Internet to help with your fundraising efforts.Spread the word on facebook, Snapchat or Twitter.
  • Hold a small event. Write down the people you know nearby. Do you know any musicians or celebrities who would play a benefit show? Ask a club you frequent if they would be willing to set aside a special night where a percentage of the door/drinks goes towards your cause if you get people in the door.
  • Most importantly, remember to be creative and to have fun while fundraising!

Basically you choose when you want to do your skydive to suit your personal circumstances, so you can do it in a few weeks time, later in the year or whenever suits.

We are organising a number of exclusive Skydive Days during 2016.  You might like to pick a Skydive Day and work towards that date as a target.

You can take as long as you like to fundraise for your Skydive Challenge.  We provide a fundraising authorisation that is valid for 12 months but we can extend it should you need more time.  Most participants find that they need around three months to raise the minimum fundrarsing target.

Once you have finished fundraising skydives are provided through the Irish Parachute Club in Co Offaly.

 

If you log into your campaign page and click on the return money button you can send us the funds online.

Alternatively if you have cash you can go into any AIB branch and deposit the funds to our account.

Full details are available HERE. Your campaign page total will be updated with the funds we receive.

Once you have reached your minimum target of €500 you can book your skydive experience.

ONLINE FUNDS THROUGH CAMPAIGN PAGE
If you reach your target online through your Personal Campaign Page we will already have your funds to hand and you need only book your skydive date with us.
 
If you have reached your target online please return any additional funds you raise offline as soon as possible after you have finished fundraising.
 
OFFLINE FUNDS THROUGH SPONSORSHIP CARDS ETC
If you have raised funds offline then you can send all the funds to us and, once we receive funds of €500 or more including any online sponsorship through your Campaign Page, we will send you a skydive receipt.

If you would like to organise a group event it couldn't be simpler.  Just go to our Sign Up form and select the "Organiser Sign Up" button in the top left hand side of the form or you can click HERE.

You can add up to 10 members to your group at one time using the organiser registration form.  If you would like to organise a larger group than 10 please call us to discuss your plan as we may need to allocate your group its own Skydive Day.

We have received a number of One4All vouchers from one of our corporate sponsors this year so we are delighted to be able to offer a €50 One4All voucher for every €500 raised over the minimum target of €500. 

So If you raise €1,000 or more you will receive a €50 voucher.  If you raise €1,500 or more you will receive two €50 vouchers, and so on.
