I’m Taking a Leap again for Youth Suicide Prevention!

This isn’t just about doing something scary or ticking a skydive off a bucket list — this jump means something much bigger.

I’m taking on a skydive to raise €1,000 for Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland, because far too many young people are fighting battles they feel they have to face alone.

Suicide doesn’t always come with warning signs that others can see. Behind smiles, jokes, and “I’m fine,” there can be overwhelming pain, loneliness, anxiety, and hopelessness. No young person should ever feel that their only option is to give up.

Youth suicide prevention services provide life-saving support, safe spaces, education, and hope to young people when they need it most. The work they do can mean the difference between someone suffering in silence and someone getting the help that saves their life.

I chose a skydive because it feels symbolic — taking a leap into fear, trusting there’s support to catch you. So many young people face terrifying internal battles every single day without that safety net. If this jump helps raise awareness, starts conversations, or helps even one young person access support, then every second of fear will be worth it.
