Hi, I'm Caoimhe Gorrell.

Thank you for visiting my Campaign Page for 'Skydive 2020'.

Everyone has a fear, right? Well, one of my biggest fears is height. To tackle my fear of height; whilst also supporting a worthy cause - I am fundraising on behalf of Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland (http://youthsuicideprevention.ie/).   I would be very grateful for your support in helping me reach my personal target of €500.00 (Five Hundred Euro). Any funds will go directly to Youth Suicide Prevent Ireland. I will pay for my own skydive myself.

Suicide infrilltrates every society, in some way or another. Unfortunately, Irish society has it's fair share of deaths by suicide. According to World Health Organisation, 2012, suicide in Ireland has the 17th highest rate in Europe and the 4th highest for the males aged 15–24 years old. Also, Irish young men and women suicide rate also had recorded the highest rate in Europe (Richardson et al., 2013; European Child Safety Alliance, 2014). So many families and communities have been tragically devasted by suicides. I, alone cannot stop suicide from occuring. However, with support from others, like yourself,  I can help prevent suicides from occuring in Ireland by fundraising to credible organisations whos sole purpose is to tackle and prevent suicides.
