Thank you for visiting my Campaign Page. I am fundraising on behalf of Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland (YSPI) and their school's programme. They have provided supports in over 226 schools during the past 9 years. School based intervention has been proven to be one of the 6 most important ways to reduce youth suicide rates. I would be very grateful for your support in helping me meet my personal target.
YSPI are based in Killarney, Co. Kerry but they work across Ireland in supporting schools, community and sporting organisations and youth clubs. They provide online resources and training and a FreeText service for crisis information, as well as working with individual groups and organisations in the community. Recently YSPI began providing funding for emergency access to crisis counselling on a GP referral basis. They have seen a 312% increase in demand for their supports and services since the pandemic, which is why I have chosen to fundraise for them.
